Today’s the Perfect day…

Share

Non-League Day has become an important date in the football calendar, shining a spotlight on the clubs that sit at the heart of communities across the country.

Today’s the perfect day to back non-league football.
Today’s the perfect day to back local football.

And today that means getting behind the lads as they travel to Cheadle Town in a big local fixture.

First launched in 2010 by James Doe as a simple social media idea, Non-League Day was created to encourage football supporters to experience their local grassroots clubs during the international break, when there are no Premier League or Championship fixtures taking place.

Since then, it has grown into a nationwide celebration of the non-league game, supported by clubs, leagues, media organisations, charities and fans who recognise the important role these clubs play both on and off the pitch.

More than just football

Non-league football offers something different. It brings supporters closer to the game, with a welcoming and authentic matchday experience that reflects the passion of the people who run and support their clubs.

From affordable ticket prices and traditional 3pm kick-offs to the chance to stand pitchside and feel part of the action, non-league football is built on connection, accessibility and community spirit.

For many clubs, the income generated through matchdays directly supports youth development, facilities and community programmes that benefit people of all ages. While the levels may differ from the professional game, the commitment, pride and passion are just as strong.
