When player sponsorship opportunities opened for the 2026/27 season, one request quickly came back from members of the Ammies Supporters Group: could they sponsor manager James Kinsey instead?
It was a simple gesture that reflected the strong relationship James has built with the Wythenshawe supporters.
Following last season’s title-winning campaign and promotion to the Northern Premier League, James has earned plenty of recognition for his work on the pitch. Just as importantly, his honesty, approachability and commitment to the club have made him a popular figure with supporters.

That work has continued into the new season, with the Ammies making a strong start to life at Step 4 despite an injury-hit opening few weeks. James and his squad have continued to compete and pick up important results while adapting to the demands of the Northern Premier League.
The Ammies Supporters Group brings fans together through their shared love of the club, while also offering support beyond football.
A spokesperson for the group said:
“We are a supportive fan group for all things Ammies, life and football. We talk about matches and upcoming events, support each other when someone may not be able to afford a match or get to a ground, and organise fan flags.”
Their sponsorship of James feels particularly fitting. The group follows the team home and away, while James has always recognised the important role supporters play around the club.
Everyone at Wythenshawe FC would like to thank the Ammies Supporters Group for sponsoring James and for their continued support throughout the 2026/27 season.
