Apparently captaining the Wythenshawe FC Veterans that includes players with Premier League experience AND leading them to victory in their match against Vickerstown FC Veterans in the Lancashire FA Veterans Cup on Friday wasn’t challenging enough for skipper Nicholas Doyle….
At the club grassroots football is about more than the game. It is about backing our players and the causes that matter to them.
Over the next six months Nicholas will run eight races totalling more than 425 miles, including six of the UK’s toughest GB Ultra events alongside both the Manchester Marathon and Amsterdam Marathon.
The challenge will finish with one of the toughest races of them all, the Yr Wyddfa Ultra in Wales, covering more than 102 miles through the mountains.
Nicholas is doing it all to raise funds for The Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, supporting children and families from across our region.
