Wythenshawe FC and Central YMCA combine for exciting new opportunity in sport and education

Share

The programme is aimed at 16-19 year olds.

Wythenshawe Football Club’s new partnership with YMCA’s Football Academy programme will allow young people to combine their passion for football with a first-class education.

The Ammies will be the latest addition to YMCA’s Football Academy, which allows learners to work towards a BTEC First Certificate in Sport L2 or Practical Horticulture Skills L1/2 in Sports Ground Maintenance.

Individuals aged between 16-19 study towards a Level 2 or Level 3 diploma alongside football training and professional development opportunities.

There will be work experience opportunities within the club, opening doors for learners starting a career in sport.

If this is something that interested you, The Wythenshawe Football Academy will be hosting an open trial in a couple of weeks. Come down to our clubhouse to learn more about the programme and meet some of the academy staff.

Here are the details:

Thursday 23 May
4:30pm – 7pm
Hollyhedge Park Community Stadium, Altrincham Road, Wythenshawe, Manchester, M22 4US

Reserve your spot at the open trial by emailing Bryony Smethurst at bryony.smethurst@ymca.co.uk
