Jake joined the club in December 2022 and has helped us win back-to-back promotions since his arrival.

Wythenshawe FC can confirm that Jake Davies has resigned from his position as Assistant Manager to pursue a managerial position at another club.

Jake joined the Ammies in December 2022 and has since helped guide us to back-to-back league titles working alongside Manger Shane Goldrick and First Team Coach Mike Turner.

Jake has written the following statement and would likes to thank the club and our fans for a memorable spell at the Hollyhedge Park Community Stadium.

Statement from Jake:

"Firstly, I’d like to thank Shane and Rob for the opportunity to come in and help the team. When coming in, I had one objective, which was to help the team build on a good season in the NWCFL Division One South and go one better and pip Stockport Town to the title.

"To have then gone another year and win the premier division too, is magical. What I’ll say is, the players are a special group. Humble, down to earth, hardworking people who took to me and my methods of working like a duck to water.

"Wherever I’ve been I’ve always said, It doesn’t matter what people say/think of you when you arrive, what’s more important is what people say about you when you leave. Leaving the group at step 4, I couldn’t have wanted anything more than that, and I’m pleased to say I’ve played my part. The players are the reason for the promotion, nothing else. Each and every one of them deserves it.

"It’s been incredibly challenging to make this decision to leave Ammies. I love the club and feel like I’ve found a second home. I truly mean that. Carl, Martin, Sasha, this is down to some incredible leadership from you. The club is in safe hands.

"I have ambitions to be a manager as this is all I’ve ever known. I’m hopeful the club and the supporters understand and respect it. From the bottom of my heart thank you, I’m sure it is not a goodbye but a see you soon.

"All my best wishes from your fellow Ammie.

Jake"

Join us in wishing Jake all the best in his future role. Once an Ammie, always an Ammie.
